Yechezchial/Ezekiel  43:10 - 27

Chapter 43

10 You, Ben Adam! Tell the House of Israel of the Temple and let them be ashamed of their sins; and measure the design.  11 And if they are ashamed of all they did — the form of the Temple and its design; its exits and entrances with all its forms; all its decrees with all its forms; and all its regulations, make known to them and write down before their eyes, that they may remember all its form and all its decrees and perform them.

12 This is the teaching of the Temple - atop the mountain, its entire boundary all around is holy of holies; behold! this is the teaching of the Temple.

13 These are the dimensions of the Altar in cubits, each "cubit" to be a cubit and a handbreadth; but the base is to be a cubit as is the cubit of the width; and the boundary upon its edge all around is half a cubit each, and this is the top of the Altar.  14 Now from the base upon the ground up to the lower Azarah, two cubits with a width of one cubit; from the small Azarah up to the large Azarah, four cubits with a width of one cubit.  15 And the Har'el four cubits; and from the Ariel and above were four corners.  16 The Ariel is twelve cubits long by twelve cubits wide, squared toward its four corners.  17 The Azarah is fourteen cubits long by fourteen cubits wide toward its four quarters; and the boundary surrounding it is half a cubit, its base is a cubit all around, and its ramp is turned eastward.

18 Then He said to me - "Ben Adam! Thus says my Lord Hashem/Elohim - These are the decrees of the Altar on the day that it is made, so that olah-offerings may be brought upon it and blood may be dashed on it.  19 Give to the Kohanim, the Levites, who are the offspring of Zadok and who approach Me — the words of Hashem/Elohim — to serve Me, a young bull as a sin-offering.  20 Take some of its blood and place it upon its four corners and upon the four corners of the Azarah and the boundary all around, and you shall purify it and atone for it.  21 You shall take this sin-offering bull and burn it at the end of the Temple, outside the Sanctuary.  22 And on the second day you shall bring an unblemished he-goat as a sin-offering; and they shall purify the Altar as they had purified it with the bull.

23 "When you have completed the purification, you shall bring near an unblemished young bull and an unblemished ram from the flock.  24 Bring them near before Hashem and let the Kohanim throw salt upon them and bring them up as an olah-offering to Hashem.  25 For seven days you shall make a he-goat sinoffering for each day; and they shall prepare an unblemished young bull and a ram from the flock.  26 For seven days they shall make atonement for the Altar and purify it, and they shall inaugurate it.

27 "When the days are over, it shall be that from the eighth day onward the Kohanim may prepare on the Altar your olah-offerings and your peace-offerings, and I shall grant you favor — the words of my Lord Hashem/Elohim."
