We're in the midst of a battle with Gaza
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday morning discussed the recent escalation in Gaza.

At the weekly Cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said, "There's an exchange of blows, and it's not going to end with one strike."

"Our demand is a complete ceasefire. Our aim is to bring quiet to the south. And we will accomplish that goal, fully."

Later in the meeting, Netanyahu discussed the leftist-Arab protest in Tel Aviv.

"We received clear testimonies of opposition to the State of Israel, and the necessity of the Nationality Law," he said.

"Many of the protesters want to cancel the Law of Return, the national anthem, and the flag, and turn Israel into a Palestinian state. Now it is clearer than ever that we need the Nationality Law in order to ensure Israel's future as a Jewish state."

Culture and Sport Minister Miri Regev (Likud) noted, "We cannot have a situation in which Palestinian flags are flown in the heart of Tel Aviv. The fact that the left is connected to the Arabs is absurd. I'm sure that [Yitzhak] Rabin would be turning over in his grave if he could see what happened in Rabin Square."
